On July 17, 2025, the ninth annual conference of the Memory Studies Association held in Prague featured an international panel dedicated to the issue of the connection between digital public space, human rights movements, and the commemorative cultures they activate. The program, titled „Digital Memoryscapes of Solidarity and Refusal,“ was prepared by researcher Andrea Průchová Hrůzová in collaboration with international colleagues Katarzyna Bojarska (SPWS, Poland), Simona Mitroiu (University of Iasi, Romania), and colleague Martin Pogačar (Slovenian Academy of Sciences). The topics presented and debated included de-commemoration in public space and the digital discussion surrounding this phenomenon, as well as the digital culture of presenting monuments in the online environment in relation to the agendas of anti-racism and solidarity.
