While some of these places found new economic functions and identities, others continue to face long-term challenges associated with economic decline, depopulation, and social fragmentation. The conference <em>After Industry: Cities and Regions in Transformation<\/em> will critically examine these processes from the perspective of historical research, employing further interdisciplinary approaches.<\/p>\n<p>Applications for the conference, together with an abstract of the paper, can be submitted to the organizers by <strong>June 30, 2025<\/strong> at <a class=\"moz-txt-link-abbreviated\" href=\"mailto:sevecek@flu.cas.cz\">sevecek@flu.cas.cz<\/a>.
